The Essence of Beauty

Once again, we are presenting a solo exhibition featuring a wide selection of works by the New York-based artist.
With this elaborate exhibition concept, we aim to reflect the particular situation of Alex Katz’s work, as since 21 October 2022 the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York has been showing a major retrospective of the artist, who is now 95 years old. To mark the occasion, our exhibition features new works as well as works that are currently no longer available on the art market.
The opening week, from 28 October to 2 November 2022, will take place at the Barlach Halle K.
From 5 November 2022, the exhibition will then be on display at our premises at Jungfrauenthal 4.
