Guided tours
Guided tours of selected exhibitions of the year in Hamburg: concise, inspiring, with all admission fees included. A brief break from the daily grind, offering a glimpse behind the scenes.
Art Tours
Day trips and multi-day tours to art venues, from Frieze in London and the Louvre to private collections and artists’ studios. Available to members at club rates.
Calendar & Events
A monthly curated calendar of art events in Hamburg and across Germany, as well as our own initiatives: studio visits with Hamburg-based artists, private film screenings at the Atlantic Hotel, and talks at the gallery.
Benefits
Jahresgabe
Each member receives a Jahresgabe, an annual edition by one of the gallery’s artists (worth approx. €350), for each year of membership. It is presented at the annual Christmas party. New members also choose a Jahresgabe as a welcome gift.
Kunst.collect
A collected edition on art from Realism to the present day: art history is delivered regularly to your home in around 30 instalments, complemented by visits to exhibitions, film evenings and talks.
Member benefit
A 10 per cent discount on art purchases at Galerie Schimming, as well as early access to new works and exhibitions.

Dr. Veronika Schöne takes you through the Venice Biennale in the gallery, from the Giardini to the Arsenale, with plenty of images. A trial evening to which guests who would like to get to know the Kunstclub are also invited.

What is the Kunstclub Hamburg?
The Kunstclub Hamburg is the members’ association of the Galerie Schimming, founded in 2003 by Birgit Schimming. Members experience art together: on guided tours of Hamburg’s exhibition venues, on art trips, during studio visits and at the gallery’s own events.
How much does membership of the Kunstclub cost?
The membership fee is 55 euros per month, including VAT, and is invoiced quarterly. The minimum term is one year; after that, membership can be cancelled every six months. Guided tours and admission fees are included; travel costs are charged separately at member rates.
What other benefits do members get?
Each member receives a Jahresgabe, an annual edition by one of the gallery’s artists (worth approximately 350 euros), a 10 per cent discount on art purchases at the gallery, the monthly calendar featuring art recommendations, and access to the Kunst.collect collection.
Can I come along and see what the Kunstclub’s like first?
