For over twenty years: the personal connection between the artwork, the artist and the collector.

For over twenty years, Galerie Schimming has stood for a carefully built programme and for the personal connection between the artwork, the artist and the collector. What began in Hamburg has, over the years, grown into a wide-reaching network of art lovers, long-standing collectors and artists, whom we support with conviction and consistency. Our programme ranges from established international figures to young voices of the present day.

For many years, we were based at a branch on Sylt, a place that has grown dear to our hearts. Now we are embarking on a new chapter: with a showroom in the centre of Palma, Galerie Schimming has arrived on Mallorca. The island brings together light, a way of life and an international audience with a genuine appreciation for quality. This is where we want to show art that endures.

Our ethos remains the same: we represent our artists not as names in a market, but for their work. We take the time for every conversation, offer personalised and confidential advice, and forge connections between people and art across Hamburg and Mallorca.

Young Art, Kunstclub, 15 Quadrat

Through the Young Art exhibitions, we have been providing a first platform for promising talents for many years. Founded in 2003, the Kunstclub Hamburg brings together people who not only want to view art, but also to understand and share it. And with 15² – Art in Schools, we have been bringing original works and their artists directly into Hamburg’s classrooms since 2009: a charitable project in which artists accompany a class for half a school term, with a ‘suitcase full of art’, studio visits and joint visits to exhibitions.
