Giovanni Castell: Digital Landscapes

The dimming of light makes everything appear to exist within a realm of magic. The great Baroque painter Caravaggio utilised this principle, using his brush and palette as his tools. The artist Giovanni Castell has at his disposal the full range of possibilities offered by the computer as a digital tool. Creating new realities using this very tool is currently a focus for a large number of artists. From 17 June, we will be exhibiting Castell’s large-format ‘sampling painting’ works in our gallery at Klosterstern.
