Idols for Nature

With Yvette Kießling, Tilo Baumgärtel and Edgar Leciejewski, we are showcasing three artists from Leipzig who are increasingly shaping and enriching our exhibition programme: three distinct perspectives on our world, which could not be more different, yet which engage in a fascinating dialogue with one another. Through the use of boundary-blurring, enchantment and alienation, they open up very different spaces for our own perception and imagination. Their individual perspectives on nature, the (seemingly) natural, the (seemingly) everyday, the conscious and the unconscious form the common foundation for a creative engagement with our world. Each of the three has a visual language of their own, has been shown in museums and is valued by collectors.
