About Julia Bornefeld
The multi-award-winning artist Julia Bornefeld now lives in South Tyrol and works in Brunico and Berlin. She studied painting at the University of Applied Sciences for Design in Kiel and undertook guest study programmes at the Accademia delle Belle Arti di Venezia and the Akademija Likovna Umjetnost in Ljubljana. Julia Bornefeld sees herself as a boundary-crosser, moving between painting, object art and installations. Her work is characterised by a curiosity about the world and a play on ambivalences.
