Pedro Oliver
Pedro Oliver (b. 1968, Palma de Mallorca) draws on a dialogue of opposites and the single, spontaneous brushstroke to create a condensed, abstract visual language spanning painting, sculpture and printmaking. Solo exhibition “RGBwhite” in Hamburg from 4 December 2026.

About Pedro Oliver
Pedro Oliver was born in Palma de Mallorca in 1968, studied Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona and today works between Mallorca and Galicia. His work cannot be pinned down to a single medium: painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, video and installation interlock and follow one idea, to express as much as possible with as few means as possible. Oliver understands art as a poetic and social tool.
His visual language thrives on a dialogue of opposites: concave and convex, container and content, the natural and the artificial, inside and outside. Influenced by East Asian culture, many of his works arise from a single, spontaneous brushstroke that allows no correction. Colour is never decorative for him: black, white and red form the core of his palette, complemented by green and ochre.
Since 1988 Pedro Oliver has shown his work in 44 solo and around 170 group exhibitions across Europe and the Americas, including ARCO Madrid, Art Chicago and FIAC Paris with Galería Ferran Cano. For more than twenty years he has shaped the visual identity of the Festival de Poesia de la Mediterrània. He has been working with Galerie Schimming since 2026.
