About Stephan Marienfeld
Stephan Marienfeld’s works are striking and independent.
He describes himself as a ‘surface fetishist’. He is known for playing with the tension and curvature of surfaces made of bronze, aluminium, stainless steel, stone or polyester, and with the reflections of light that result from them.
With each new work, Marienfeld further explores the possibilities of sculpture and questions conventions along the way.
The technical precision of his works and his own formal language have opened the way for them into international collections.
